Return and Refund Policy

MuVS (“MuVS”, “we”, “us”, “our”) provides virtual running, cycling, or skating events designed to promote honest effort, fair competition, and community. By registering for any event on www.muvs.run, you agree to this Return and Refund Policy.

1. General Policy

All registrations are non-refundable, except only in the limited situations clearly described in this Policy.

By completing registration, you acknowledge that you understand and accept this Return and Refund Policy.

2. 14-Day Data Submission Requirement

After successful registration, you have 14 days to complete your activity (run/ride) and submit valid activity data through the specified method (e.g., Strava link, GPX file, or other accepted evidence).

If you fail to submit your data within 14 days of registration, your result will be marked as “Did Not Finish (DNF)”, and you will not be eligible for any refund, credit, or free transfer.

3. Fraudulent or Dishonest Activity

MuVS follows a strict zero‑tolerance policy for cheating or data manipulation.

Examples of fraudulent behavior include, but are not limited to:

  • Recording activities on apps such as Strava while riding in a rickshaw, car, motorbike, or any other motorized vehicle instead of running or cycling yourself.
  • Submitting manually edited, clearly unrealistic, or manipulated GPS/activity data.
  • Using someone else’s activity data and submitting it as your own.

Consequences of Fraud

If MuVS reasonably believes that your submitted data is dishonest or inconsistent with genuine human performance:

  • Your registration may be disqualified immediately.
  • You will not receive any refund, credit, or replacement entry.
  • MuVS may also remove you from leaderboards and future rankings.

MuVS reserves the right to request additional proof (screenshots, raw files, or other verification) and to make final decisions on what constitutes fraudulent activity.

4. Kids Category and Age Misrepresentation

To protect fairness and safety, some events may include a Kids category with specific age requirements. Only participants who genuinely fall within the announced age range may register for a Kids category.

If an adult or anyone outside the allowed age range registers in a Kids category (for lower fees, easier distances, or any other unfair advantage), MuVS may:

  • Cancel that registration or change the category to a correct one (if available and appropriate), with additional payment required; or
  • Disqualify the registration without any refund if the age misrepresentation appears intentional.

Providing false age or identity information is considered a form of fraud under this Policy.

5. Event Changes, Cancellations, and Force Majeure

MuVS may need to modify, postpone, or cancel an event due to circumstances beyond reasonable control (for example: technical failures, platform outages, natural disasters, public health issues, or other force majeure events).

In such situations, MuVS may offer one or more of the following, at its sole discretion:

  • Transfer of your registration to another date or similar event.
  • A partial credit or discount for a future event.
  • No monetary refund where costs have already been incurred and the event can continue in a modified virtual format.

Any such options will be clearly communicated via email or on the official website.

6. Medals, Merchandise, and Shipping

Participants who correctly complete the event requirements and submit valid data within 14 days will be eligible to receive medals and/or other promised rewards, as stated on the event page.

If you receive a damaged or defective medal or merchandise, you must contact MuVS within 7 days of delivery with clear photo evidence. Where appropriate, MuVS may provide a replacement item.

MuVS is not responsible for loss, delay, or non-delivery caused by:

  • Incorrect or incomplete shipping address provided by the participant.
  • Local postal or courier issues outside MuVS’ control.

In such cases, no refund is guaranteed; however, MuVS may, at its discretion, offer a paid re-shipment or partial solution.

7. Duplicate Payments and Technical Errors

If you accidentally make a duplicate payment for the same registration, you must notify MuVS promptly with proof of transaction.

Verified duplicate payments may be refunded or credited, minus any non-recoverable payment processing fees charged by payment providers.

8. No Chargeback Abuse

By registering, you agree not to initiate payment chargebacks (through your bank or card issuer) that contradict this Return and Refund Policy.

MuVS reserves the right to block access to future events for users who misuse chargeback or dispute processes.

9. How to Request Support

If you have questions about your registration, submission status, or believe there was an error in how this Policy was applied, please include your full name, event name, order/registration ID, and a clear description of your issue.
